QUESTION #0008:

How do I improve my credit report?

ANSWER:

A quick search on the Internet will list many individuals who offer to “fix your credit rating” for a fee. And if you dig a little deeper, you will also find warnings that these offers are scams. The only real way to improve your credit report is to use credit wisely over time. This means having stable income and employment, paying your bills when due, limit yourself to one or two credit cards with a small credit limit and not carrying a balance from month to month. You should also request a copy of your credit report every year or so, to ensure that the information is accurate and that there has not been any inappropriate use of your personal information.
